A man has been left with injuries after being bitten in the face during a 'nasty' attack in Liverpool city centre.
The victim was grabbed around the neck and bitten in the face by an unknown person in an 'unprovoked' assault outside Hardy's Bar on Mathew Street.
Police say the incident happened between midnight and 1am on Monday, July 12, before the suspect made off.

The 35-year-old was left needing stitches to his face following the attack.
A Merseyside police spokesperson said: "Between midnight and 1am on Monday 12 th July a 35 year-old man was approached outside Hardy’s Bar on Mathew Street by an unknown male who grabbed him around his neck and bit his face, causing an injury which required stitches.

"CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out in the local area."
Detectives have now issued CCTV images of a man they think could help them with their investigation.
Detective inspector Steven O'Neill said: "This was a nasty and unprovoked assault which left a man needed stitches to his face.
"We have carried out a number of CCTV and witness enquiries. I believe there would have been a number of people in the area of Mathew Street late on that Sunday night or the early hours of Monday morning who may be able to assist us.
"I would ask anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself, to contact us."
