Man bemuses bouncer by reading book at Bristol drum and bass rave

A bemused bouncer was forced to move a man from the stairs at a drum and bass rave, where he deeply engrossed in a book.

Footage taken shows a security guardsquestioning the man after they caught him with his nose in a novel at the outdoor do.

The man apparently couldn't tear himself away from his page-turner during DJ Marky's set at Motion nightclub in Bristol.

The moment was captured on camera during the annual Hospitality BBQ which ran from midday until 10pm.

The clip shows the reader trying to show baffled security an extract from his book.

One eyewitness said: “We were enjoying Marky's set, which we'd been looking forward to all day, then my mate turned around and started laughing. I asked what he was looking at and that's when I saw this guy reading a book on the stairs.

“I'm not sure what he was reading but it must've been a proper page turner as he was pretty engrossed in it. Either that or he hates drum & bass. If that's the case he was probably at the wrong event.“
