The alleged incident took place on Sunday, October 4, in the Worcestershire village of Cleeve Prior.

Mr Jamshidi told BirminghamLive : "He started swearing and shouting at me.

"When we tried to leave, there was a group of about five men in a car which had parked outside.

"We just wanted to leave."

Two others, who had worked with Mr Jamshidi on the job, were also attacked by the group, he said.

He claimed he was living with both physical and mental scars since the assault.

"I'm still in shock and feel unsafe," he said. "I still feel dizzy too and I can't stand properly.

"I'm scared there's been damage to my brain - it's like I feel drunk all the time."

West Mercia Police said it was investigating the attack.

"Officers were called to reports three men had been assaulted on October 4 in Cleeve Prior, Evesham," a police spokesperson said.
