A hammer-wielding thug has been caught on camera battering a motorist after a multi-car crash which involved a pregnant woman.
The clip shows the group attempting to pull the occupant from a damaged black Toyota Yaris after he was hit with the weapon.
West Midlands Police to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
Officers originally said the disorder ignited after a multi-vehicle smash that involved a pregnant woman in Walsall at 2pm on Wednesday, July 1, Black County Live reported.
In the video, the angry mob can be heard screaming at the man in his car as the violence continues to escalate.
At one point the terrified motorist can be seen buckling himself in with a seatbelt in a bid to stay inside as the violent group continues on the attack.
Just before the video cuts out, the men can be heard screaming at the man to get out of the f*****g car.
A force spokesman said: "We are investigating reports of a disorder following a collision on Holden Crescent in the Coalpool area of Walsall at 2pm on Wednesday.
"A number of cars were damaged in the collision and a pregnant woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"A man in his 20s was detained at the scene and taken to hospital to be treated for injuries to his face.
"He has since been discharged and enquiries are continuing.
"We are aware of a video circulating on social media which is forming part of our investigation.
