Man banned from Wirral house for five years

A man has been banned from a house in Wirral for five years following weapon and drug offences.

Wirral's Anti-Social Behaviour Team ordered a suspended possession order to an address in Wakefield Drive, Leasowe following reports of anti-social behaviour and serious crime which included a weapon being discharged and drugs.

A suspended possession order is an order made to the current tenant where they must comply to the rules in order to continue living there.

The tenant of the Prima Housing Group in Leasowe must not allow the man to visit or live in the house as part of the agreement effective from March 15, 2021.

If breached it would cause further enforcement action to be considered to protect the community.

The action was taken following a three-month Partial Closure Order - where access is prohibited - applied for by Merseyside Police in June 2020.

A spokesperson for Wirral Council said: "Due to the severity of the incidents Merseyside Police, Wirral Council and Prima Housing Group have acted robustly, having utilised various enforcement tools to effectively protect local residents from continuing to endure these issues and have offered further community reassurance in ensuring the offender is prevented from returning to the address."
