It's a nightmare situation for any parent – you need to change your baby's nappy but there is nowhere appropriate place to do it, so what do you do?
Even though he understands that sometimes you have no choice, one man was completely baffled by a mum's choice to change her baby's nappy on one of the tables at the café where he was trying to enjoy a piece of cake on his birthday.
Taking to popular forum Reddit, the man was confused about whether this was normal etiquette for parents, or whether he should have expected the staff to do something about it.

In a forum post, the man explained: "Went to a cafe I've been to lots of times before. As I walked in there were a bunch of ladies with a couple of toddlers generally being in the way and oblivious to me and other customers.
"I ordered my food and started to eat a bit of cake. One of the women held up her toddler and pretty much yelled, “Have you done a poo? S***ty arse! S***ty arse!"
To the customer's disbelief, the woman then "took the toddler over to one of the benches next to a table and changed the nappy".
He continued: "The smell of s**t was wafting across the cafe just as my main course arrived."
In line with "British tradition" of trying to be polite, the man hadn't said anything, but after they had left he "politely" messaged the café.
He said: "I appreciated they couldn't control their customers' actions, but having people changing babies on seating next to food tables wasn’t going to encourage people to eat there in future, and the staff didn't seem bothered about any of this.
"I got a polite reply saying this happened quite frequently as the toilet was too small to change a nappy."
In the comment section many were baffled that they didn't have a toilet that was big enough to change a nappy.
Some people agreed with the man, saying: "No, not acceptable. Not in any eatery."
Another said: "I'd imagine health and safety would have something to say about that. Especially in a food serving environment."
A third added: "As a parent, I would never have dreamed of changing either of my children in a cafe or restaurant at a table, that's just downright rude to everyone else, let alone being unsanitary."
Others commented on the fact that the eatery needs to sort it so that parents have a more appropriate place to change nappies.
