A man was hit in the head with a hammer and pushed onto the tracks at a London station, suffering fractures to his skull.
The horror attack happened shortly before 10.45pm last night at All Saints DLR station in East London.
British Transport Police today released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault.
The victim, in his 30s, managed to run onto another platform and escape.
BTP said in a statement: "He was pushed onto the tracks but ran over to the other platform and escaped.


"He suffered fractures to the skull and remains in hospital.
"His injuries are not described as life-threatening or life-changing.
"Officers believe the man in the images may have information that could help their investigation."

Detective Superintendent Nick Sedgemore, of the British Transport Police, said: "Clearly this is a very concerning attack.
"Enquiries have been underway since it occurred to locate the suspect and understand his motive.
"We ask anyone who knows the identity of the man pictured to get in touch."
