Man attacked with baseball bat by robbers who stole expensive watches and Land Rover

A man was attacked with a baseball bat by masked robbers who left with expensive watches and a Land Rover.

The victim suffered injuries to his head, arm and torso, and was said to be lucky to have not been more seriously hurt.

Three men broke into the house on Wool Road in Dobcross, Oldham last Saturday, at about 9pm.

They threatened the victim, demanding money and attacking him with a baseball bat.

During the incident, the offenders were wearing masks and dark clothing.

They stole jewellery including high value watches, and the keys to a Land Rover Discovery which was taken from the driveway.

DC Kavita Young, of GMP's Oldham district, said: "Luckily, the victim wasn't more seriously injured. Nevertheless, this was a traumatic experience for him.

"An investigation is underway and I would like to ask anyone with information which may assist us with our enquiries to contact us or Crimestoppers, anonymously."

Anyone with information can contact police on 0161 856 8905 quoting 2748 19/12/20, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
