Man attacked teenager, shot out his tire in road rage attack: Prosecutors

May 23--A 32-year-old Lincolnwood man faces felony charges after authorities say he got into a road rage dispute with a teenager, followed him and attacked him with a gun outside a West Rogers Park auto parts store.

George Nisan is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, reckless discharge, battery and criminal damage to property.

The incident happened Saturday in the West Rogers Park neighborhood, prosecutors said in court Sunday.

The 19-year-old victim and two of his friends, both teenagers, were heading to an auto parts store in the 3400 block of West Devon Avenue, prosecutors said. The trio had been driving on nearby Kimball Avenue when Nisan cut them off in traffic, prosecutors said. The two drivers exchanged words, and the teenagers continued on to the store.

Nisan apparently followed the teens' car into the parking lot. When he got there, Nisan took a handgun, shot one round into the air, then pointed it at the 19-year-old, prosecutors said. Nisan then spat on the victim and hit him twice on the head with the gun, according to police and prosecutors. Nisan then shot out a tire on the victim's car, prosecutors said.

Nisan was arrested at his home about 8 p.m. Saturday, according to police records.

Cook County Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered him held on $300,000 bond.
