Man attacked in Clevedon town centre in fight which reportedly involved 50 teenagers

A man was left needing hospital treatment after being assaulted during a fight in Clevedon town centre.

Reports have been circulating social media of a large group of teenagers causing problems in the seaside town on April 8.

The group of youngsters - at one point believed to be 50 strong - was seen at the Salthouse Fields earlier in the evening before moving to Queens Square and the Triangle. Bristol Live asked Avon and Somerset Constabularly how many people were involved, but the force refused to comment on the figure.

A police spokesperson confirmed they were called to the town centre at just before 11pm to reports of people fighting in Old Street.
