Man attacked found with 'bleed on the brain' on Christmas Day in Heanor

A man was found seriously injured on Christmas Day with fractures to his jaw, bruising to his eyes and a bleed on the brain.

The 29-year-old was found injured by East Midlands Ambulance Service at around 1.30am on Saturday, December 25, on Breach Road in Heanor.

He was taken to hospital and was treated for injuries which police deem not to be life-changing.

The ambulance service called Derbyshire Police after finding the man.

Police are now appealing for information.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Breach Road area between midnight and 1.35am on the day, who may be able to provide information on the circumstances which led to the man’s injuries.

Police have also asked for anyone who was driving in the area, or with dash cam footage which may be of use to officers, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting reference 21*748526 in any correspondence about the incident.

The force can also be contacted via its website and official Facebook and Twitter accounts.
