A 29-year-old man has been attacked with a blade in a serious assaulted in Rutherglen.
The incident occurred at around 9.30pm on Monday, December 2 within Springhall Court.
The 29-year-old was approached by two men in the stairwell and attacked with the bladed weapon.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a serious injury to his arm.
Police Scotland are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident or the attackers to come forward.
Both suspects were wearing dark clothing. One had a balaclava covering his face and the other had a scarf covering his face.
Detective Constable Derek Young, of Cambuslang CID, said: "I'm appealing to anyone who saw two men matching these descriptions or acting suspiciously around that area of Rutherglen to contact us."
