Man attacked at taxi rank hours after Europa League Final

A man was seriously assaulted at the station

A MAN was attacked at Glasgow's Buchanan Bus Station in the early hours after the Europa League Final, police have said. 

The 42-year-old was seriously assaulted at the taxi rank of the bus station at around 12.30am on Thursday, May 19. 

Around this time at the taxi rank, a group of males got into a fight.

One man was knocked to the ground and punched and kicked in the head, and he was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary afterwards.

Cops are investigating the attack and are urging any witnesses at the taxi rank, which was busy at the time after the football match, to come forward. 

Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 0132 of May 19, 2022.
