Man attacked as he walked along Paisley street

A man has been left with a broken nose and a deep cut to his eyebrow after two thugs battered him in a Paisley street.

The 22-year-old was attacked as he walked along High Calside in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police, who are treating the incident as a serious assault, say two yobs rained down punches on their victim when they pounced around 4am.

He was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was given seven stitches to a deep cut on his head and treated for broken nose.

Detectives are now working to identify the violent louts involved.

The first suspect is described as a white male, around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with light coloured hair and wearing a white T-shirt.

The second suspect described as a white male.

Detective Inspector Bob Bowie, of Paisley CID, said: “A 22-year-old man sustained a facial injuries after he was assaulted by two men in High Calside, Paisley around 4am on Sunday.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time to and witnessed what happened to come forward.

“If you observed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident then we would like to hear from you.”
