A man was attacked and left with a head injury after a row outside a corner shop.
Merseyside Police rushed to Roughwood Drive, Kirkby, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, June 2, following reports of a man being found with a head injury in the street. Once officers arrived they found a man in his 30s and he was rushed to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.
It is believed the attack took place on Gilescroft/Jarrett Road following an altercation in a nearby shop on Roughwood Drive. The man is in a stable condition in hospital.

A 34 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public order and offensive weapons offences and another man was arrested on suspicion of arson. Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house, CCTV and forensic enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
Detective Inspector Neil Fletcher said: "The investigation is in the very early stages as we work to piece together what has taken place. I would ask anyone who was in the area of Roughwood Drive around 2.30pm today who saw or heard anything or can assist our investigation in any way to contact us."
