A man at the centre of an online storm has spoken out, branding a woman who alleges he cheated on his girlfriend with her a “fame seeker”.
Matty Steven, from Wythenshawe, posted a Facebook status in relation to Pippa McKinney, from Stockport.
Ms McKinney, 22, claims that he had cheated on his girlfriend after meeting her on a night out in Manchester when she was celebrating her birthday last week.
The day after the night out, she posted a photo of her kissing a man on her Facebook page alongside the post: “Met this guy last night absolutely stunning, took his number down wrong but would love to get to see him again! He’s from Wythenshaw and is called Matt, help anyone, haha?”
After posting the appeal, Ms McKinney – who claims Mr Steven told her he was single – was contacted by his girlfriend.
Mr Steven has now taken to social media himself, saying on Facebook that “this has gone way past a joke”, according to the Daily Mail.
He posted “I have tried to stay quiet but I think it’s about time people get my side” and branded Ms McKinney a “fame seeker”.
Mr Steven told people to “watch this space”.
