Man assaulted while cycling down Welsh road in broad daylight

A man was assaulted while cycling down a road in the Valleys. The 47-year-old was cycling on the road to Rhiwsaeson, just off the main road to Beddau, at around 3.55pm on Sunday when the incident took place.

South Wales Police said he was approached by two other men who went on to assault him. They are described as being in their 20s, wearing dark clothing and hats and both were riding bikes.

Footage shows an air ambulance at the scene, along with a heavy emergency service presence. Anyone who has information in connection to the incident, or who was in the area around the time of the alleged assault, is asked to contact South Wales Police via https://orlo.uk/2G8h4 quoting occurrence 2200342473.
