Man assaulted at Glasgow train station as police appeal for witnesses

A man has been assaulted at a Glasgow train station as police appeal for witnesses.

The incident occurred at the Gordon Street entrance of Glasgow Central at around 5.25pm on Tuesday August 31.

Two men approached the victim, assaulted him and left him with a large cut to his head before fleeing towards Hope Street.

One of the suspects has been described as a white male in his mid-twenties, according to the British Transport Police.

He had been wearing a black top, dark shorts and black baseball cap at the time of the assault.

The other is thought to be a white male, also in his mid-twenties and of a large build.

This suspect had been wearing a black top and light coloured bottoms and black trainers.

British Transport Police officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with them.

Anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 377 of 31/08/21.
