Man assaulted as Scots cops appeal for information to trace him

A man has been assaulted as Scots cops appeal for information to help trace him.

The incident occurred around 3am on Sunday, August 29 in the Lordburn area of Arbroath.

Police Scotland officers had arrived to deal with a disturbance involving a number of people who dispersed upon their arrival.

However, they were soon made aware of footage which showed the assault that had taken place at the scene just before.

The victim did not make himself known to police and still needs to be traced to establish the full circumstances of the attack.

He has been described as a white male in his late teens or 20s, of a medium build with short blonde hair.

At the time, he had been wearing a blue and pink tartan shirt and black shorts.

The man who allegedly assaulted him has been described as in his late teens and of a heavy athletic build.

He had been wearing a black t-shirt and light shorts at the time of the incident.

Police have identified this man and do not need any further information about him.

However, they are asking anyone with information about the victim to get in touch with them.

Police Scotland can be called on 101, with the incident reference number 0805 of Sunday August 29.
