A man has been arrested over the death of a woman at a home in Sydney's west.
Police were called to the Fairfield address around midday on Monday after receiving reports of concern for the woman's welfare.
The woman, believed to be a victim of domestic violence, suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.
A 60-year-old man who knew the woman was arrested at the home and taken to Fairfield Police Station.
The woman is yet to be formally identified, but police believe she was in her 40s. A post-mortem to determine her cause of death will be conducted.
