A 21-year-old has been arrested after another man was stabbed in the stomach in Civic's Petrie Plaza early on Sunday morning.
In a statement, ACT Policing said officers had responded to "a report of a disturbance outside a nightclub" about 2.55am.
When they arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to the stomach.
"A crime scene was established, investigations commenced and about 3.25am a 21-year-old man was taken into custody nearby," police said.
"He is now helping police with their enquiries."
ACT Ambulance Service paramedics took the victim to hospital for treatment.
Investigators have already spoken to several witnesses, but they remain keen to speak with other people who were in the area at the time in question.
"Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or captured video of it, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact ACT Policing operations on 131 444," ACT Policing said.
Anyone with information was asked to quote reference number 6783522.
Police made several other arrests overnight in Civic, including:
