Man arrested over 'sexual assault' of schoolgirl, 13, in Livingston shopping centre

A man has been arrested and charged over the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Livingston .

The apparent incident took place within the Poundland store in the town's The Centre shopping mall on Saturday, April 27.

A 47-year-old man is set to appear in court next week.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested and charged after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Livingston.

"The 47-year-old is scheduled to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday 21st May."
