A man has been arrested on suspiction of the murder of an Instagram influencer who was found dead in a suitcase in her Moscow apartment.
The 24-year-old’s parents raised the alarm after they had not been able to reach her for several days.
Police said her body was found with stab wounds and her throat had been slit.
Officers said they are investigating whether jealousy was a possible motive in the killing because Ms Karaglonova had recently started a new relationship.
The Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reported she had been planning to celebrate her birthday with a boyfriend in the Netherlands.
Leaked CCTV footage showed a man entering Ms Karaglanova’s apartment building in the days around her disappearance.
It also captured him leaving with a suitcase and dark gloves on. Her body was discovered by police inside a suitcase in the hallway of the building.
Police said there were no signs of struggle at the apartment and there was no weapon found at the scene.
Ms Karaglanova was known as @kattie_loves_life to her 86,000 followers on Instagram.
In one post, under a photo of a bouquet of flowers, she wrote that she has been receiving such gifts from a secret admirer for several weeks
