A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in a house.
Police were called to reports of an injured woman in Bath Road in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, just after midnight on Sunday.
The woman, in her 50s, was treated by paramedics but pronounced dead at the scene.
Gloucestershire Police said they are treating the death as suspicious and have arrested a 53-year-old man from Cheltenham in connection with the incident.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
Officers are now working to identify the woman’s next of kin.
