Man arrested on suspicion of murder after four people stabbed to death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after three women and a man were found stabbed to death in London. The shocking discovery was made after police were called to reports of a disturbance at a home in Southwark at about 1.40am this morning (Monday, April 25).

Despite the efforts of emergency services, all four people were pronounced dead at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Scotland Yard say a man, known to the victims, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, the Mirror reports.

Officers are in the process of contacting next of kin while post-mortem examinations are set to be arranged soon.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody. Detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating.

It is thought that all five people were known to each other. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.

The bodies were found in an address in Delaford Road, which is close to the well-known Old Kent Road and South Bermondsey tube station.
