A man has been arrested after another man died in a crash on the A46.

Officers were called to Fosse Road in Farndon after the collision just before 8.40am on Sunday (October 25).

The collision was originally believed to have involved one car.

A 42-year-old man was treated at the scene but died from his injuries.

Police said a 58-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and failing to stop, and has been released pending further investigation.

Detective Constable Sarah Stables of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Although we have made an arrest in connection with this incident, I am still really keen to hear from anyone who might be able to help with our enquiries.

"A man has lost his life and it’s crucial that we have as much information about what happened as possible."

Police said the man's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 153 of 25 October 2020.
