A man who was arrested on suspicion of the attempted alleged rape of a woman at a New Year's Eve party has been released.
A garda investigation was launched after the woman claimed the man had tried to rape her on New Year's Day at a house in Kildare.
The alleged incident took place at around 4am with emergency services and Gardai arriving at the scene a short time later according to The Irish Daily Mail.
A man had been arrested over the alleged incident but has since been released.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "In relation to this incident, a male was arrested and has since been released.
He added: "A file will be prepared for the DPP and no further information is available."
