Man arrested on drugs charge after being spotted 'walking naked' through Scots beauty spot

A man has been arrested at a Scots beauty spot after being spotted walking along the road completely naked.

Police say they received reports of the man in the car park of an Arrochar hotel in Argyll and Bute in the early hours of this morning.

A 29-year-old man was then arrested in relation to alleged drug offences.

Witnesses told how they spotted the man strolling on the A83 towards Tarbet.

A driver wrote on Facebook that he witnessed a “totally naked man walking down the pavement toward Tarbet Tearoom."

He explained how the police car came to "an abrupt stop with blue lights on" when they spotted the man.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3am on Saturday, 29 May, 2021, police responded to a call regarding concern for the welfare of man within the car park of a hotel in Arrochar.

"A 29-year-old man was traced and was arrested for alleged drugs offences. He will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.”
