Man arrested in suspicious death probe after man found fatally injured in Easterhouse street

A man has been arrested after a man was found fatally injured in the street in Easterhouse.

The 43-year-old was found with serious injuries on Lochend Road at around 4:45pm yesterday. The suspect, also 43, is being held in connection with the incident.

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to the Royal Infirmary, where he died a short time later.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police can confirm that a man, 43, has been arrested in connection with the death of a man, also 43-years-old, in the Easterhouse area of Glasgow.

"The man was found with serious injuries on Lochend Road around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 3 December. He was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.

"Enquiries into his death are ongoing."

Lochend Road is currently shut off to traffic between Dalilea Drive to Lochdochart Road.
