A man has been charged over a series of high-end burglaries last winter following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad.
Alessandro Maltese, 44, was returned to the UK via Heathrow on Thursday following his arrest in Italy.
He was detained under a European Arrest Warrant earlier this month, Scotland Yard said.
Maltese has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary between November 30 last year and February 1.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.
No other information was available.
