Man arrested in connection with 'theft' of missing Glasgow dog

A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a dog in the Gorbals .

Kirsteen Marshall posted a desperate plea about her dog Blake after he went missing on Monday, October 7.

The Shih Tau Bichon cross was allegedly stolen from a local business on Ballater Street in Glasgow at around 9pm on Monday evening.

But, just 24 hours after his disappearance, Kirsteen posted on social media that Blake was found at around 2am on Thursday, October 10.

Kirsteen said: “Blake is home.

“We don’t even know where to start. Thank you so much to every single person across the world who shared our posts."

Cops have now confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of the dog.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of a dog on Ballater Street in Glasgow.

"He's expected to appear in court at a later date.

"The dog has been returned to the owner."
