A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 48-year-old Bradley Welsh.
The actor was shot outside his home in Edinburgh’s Chester Street last Wednesday night.
Police confirmed an arrest had been made and that the man has been released pending further inquiries.
The Hibs fan's partner and daughter were just yards away inside their home at the time.
An outpouring of tributes for the charity worker came from pals including Trainspotting author and pal Irvine Welsh.
Bouquets of flowers, Hibs and Hearts scarves, and boxing gloves were left on Chester Street but have been taken to nearby Drumsheugh Gardens.
Officers stressed the investigation is continuing and anyone who has information, but has yet to come forward, is asked to do so immediately.
