A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Aidan Kelly 13-years-ago.
Mr Kelly, who was aged 19, was found with several bullet wounds in a country laneway near the Co Clare village of Ardnacrusha on May 10, 2006.
Mr Kelly died a short time later at the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
This is the first arrest in relation to the killing.
A firearm was found at the scene at the time of the crime.
A man in his late 30s was arrested on Tuesday morning and is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

In a statement, a garda spokesman said: "Gardaí investigating the murder of Aidan Kelly on 10th May 2006 at Blackwater, Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare, have arrested a man in his late 30s.
"He was arrested this morning, 10th September 2019, and is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
"Gardaí investigating this incident are appealing to anyone who has information, no matter how insignificant they may think it is, to contact Henry Street Garda Station on (061) 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station."
