Man arrested in connection with murder of Keane Mulready Woods

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of teenager Keane Mulready Woods.

17-year-old Keane was abducted in the Ballsgrove area of Drogheda, Co Louth and taken to a house in Rathmullen Park, where he was killed and dismembered in January of this year.

His arms and legs were dumped in a holdall bag near a rival gangster’s home in Coolock, North Dublin on Monday night, January 13.

Gardai confirmed this morning a man has been arrested in connection with the teen's murder.

A garda spokesperson said: "A man in his 40s has been arrested this morning, Tuesday 8th December 2020, as part of the investigation into the murder of Keane Mulready Woods.  He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Drogheda Garda station. He can be held for up to 7 days."
