A man has been arrested after the body of a 33-year-old woman was found in a flat in East Kilbride yesterday.
Police are currently on the scene at the block in Park Terrace, West Mains carrying our door-to-door enquiries.
They say enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the young woman's death are "ongoing".
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident which happened sometime yesterday.
A post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said today: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 33-year-old woman within a property on Park Terrace in East Kilbride on Thursday, April 30.
"Enquiries into the circumstance surrounding the death are ongoing. A post mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the cause of death."
