A young man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Co Meath last year.
The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the attempted murder of a woman in Athboy on September 19th, 2019.
Gardai arrested the man at his home and he is due to appear before Trim District Court.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Kells have this morning arrested a man (20 years) in relation to the attempted murder of a woman that occurred at an address in Athboy, Co. Meath on 19th September, 2019.
"The man was arrested this morning at his home and brought to Kells Garda Station where he was charged and is due to appear before Trim District Court this morning, Tuesday 5th May, 2020 at 10.30a.m.
"Investigations are ongoing."
