A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted murder in Kilmarnock.
A 35-year-old is due to appear before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later today following the incident on Jeffrey Street in the Riccarton area of the town on May 2.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance during this enquiry.”
We previously told how a 28-year-old was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital following the incident and treated for injuries including slash wounds.
The surrounding areas including a nursery school in Craigie Road were sealed off by police as investigations took place.
