A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged murder bid in Renfrew.
Two men and a woman were forced to flee their home in Western Park Gate after it was allegedly set alight in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police, who are treating the incident as attempted murder, confirmed a man had been arrested and is set to be quizzed over the blaze.
No one was hurt in the fire but the property was left with significant damage.
Fire crews raced to the street at around 3.10am.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm a 49-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with this incident."
