Man arrested in connection with alleged attempted murder in Edinburgh

A man has been arrested after an alleged murder bid in Edinburgh.

Officers from Police Scotland arrested the 48-year-old following the alleged incident in the Marine Drive area in the north-west of the city on Saturday, May 9 2020.

Cops are treating the alleged attack on a 36-year-old male as attempted murder.

The 48-year-old is due to appear in court on Monday.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Pleasance, of Corstorphine CID, said: “A 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 36-year-old man in the Marine Drive area of Edinburgh on Saturday May 9.”
