A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in a property in Aberdeen .
Cops were called to the upmarket area of Angusfield Avenue yesterday after reports of a woman being found dead in a house.
Officers from Police Scotland , who remain on the scene this morning, said inquires were at an early stage however emphasised it was a contained incident.
Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland 's Major Investigation Team, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to stress that there is no threat to the wider community and it appears to have been a contained incident.
"I would like to thank local residents for their patience."
"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact 101, quoting reference number 0521 of August 29, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where anonymity can be maintained."
