A man has been jailed for masturbating in front of two teenage girls at Glasgow Central Station.
Craig Anderson approached the young girls while they were sitting on a bench on the main concourse of the station around 6.45pm on January 15.
Anderson then unzipped his trousers and masturbated in front of the 16 and 17-year-old girls.
The incident was reported to British Transport Police officers in Glasgow Central and the 57-year-old was arrested at the scene.
He was convicted of coercing a person into being present during sexual activity at Glasgow Sheriff Court on February 16. He was sentenced to 218 days in prison and put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
BTP Sergeant Claire McCombe said: “Sexual offences will absolutely not be tolerated on the rail network. Everyone has the right to travel and feel safe.
“We will always take reports of sexual offences seriously, and in this case were able to quickly arrest the suspect at the scene and bring him before the courts.
