A Washington man was arrested for driving under the influence twice in 24 hours after crashing at the exact same Olympia intersection, according to police.

The man was first arrested on February 16 after crashing into a parked car at exactly 9:47 p.m., as reported by KIRO 7.

When Thurston County Sheriff's deputies arrived, he was found to have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.31 — nearly four times the legal limit.

The man was booked into jail but released the next day. However, 24 hours later and again at 9:47 p.m., he was involved in another DUI crash—this time hitting a tree stump in a nearby yard.

When deputies responded, he once again reportedly appeared intoxicated and registered a BAC of 0.30. Given the repeat offense, authorities set his bail at $50,000 following his second arrest.

The suspect remains in custody as officials assess the case. His repeated offenses highlight concerns about DUI laws and enforcement, with authorities emphasizing the dangers of drunk driving.
