Lanarkshire police have confirmed a man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery.
The incident is said to have happened at a premises on Main Street in Rutherglen around 10.05am on Monday, April 26.
Lanarkshire Live understands the premises involved was a bank and the man allegedly threatened a staff member with a knife.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow (April 29).
Detective Sergeant Craig MacKenzie of Cambuslang CID thanked the public and media for sharing Police Scotland's appeal for information in relation to the incident.
