A man has been arrested after being found with an airgun and a knife, police say. Officers say they were called to reports of a man walking near Princess Court in Old Trafford carrying an airgun.
Princess Court is a tower block situated on Cornbrook Park Road, off Chester Road.
Armed officers were scrambled to the scene and the man was subsequently detained, the Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Trafford neighbourhood policing team said on their GMP Stretford Twitter feed.

"Male arrested nr Princess Court, OT by our colleagues in the Firearms unit, after reports of a male walking on the street with an airgun" they said in a post.
"When detained he was also in poss of a knife. Great arrest and the streets are safer with this lad locked up."
No further details about the incident were disclosed.
