
Police arrested a 39-year-old man on Tuesday following investigations into break and enter and property related offences in the Newcastle area.
Between November 18 and December 2, police attached to Newcastle City Police District reviewed and investigated multiple stealing and related offences from apartment complex car parks in Newcastle, Islington and Wickham.
Following investigations, police identified the same man as being involved.
Police alleged he was responsible for the theft of multiple bicycles and a compound bow from apartment complex car parks.
At about 2pm Tuesday, police located the man riding a bicycle on Crescent Road, Waratah.
He was arrested without incident and upon being searched, a resealable small bag containing methylamphetamine was located.
He was taken to Waratah Police Station where he was charged with 11 offences including four counts of enter building with intent to commit indictable offence, six counts of larceny, and one offence of possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday.
