Man arrested at Lime Street after public raise concern

British Transport Police on Merseyside made an arrest at Lime Street after members of the public and staff raised concern about a man on a train.

His behaviour drew officers to the area and they later tweeted: "Male tried to avoid officers on the platform at Lime Street, but he didn't get very far."

The British Transport Police (BTP) are the front line of railway policing, and are the people to get in touch with if you are ever involved in a non-emergency incident on any train in Merseyside.

In an emergency, always call 999, but to report a crime or an incident, text the BTP on 61016 (or you can fill in a form on the website). The text number is monitored 24/7 and, while it is not for reporting emergencies, BTP will send officers if required.
