Man arrested as victim is stabbed amid 'disturbance' in Chorlton

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed during a 'disturbance' in Chorlton.

The victim, in his 20s, suffered minor stab wounds in the incident on Wilbraham Road on Tuesday night.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Police were called to reports of two men fighting close to the junction of Egerton Road South at about 7.45pm.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital

Police say enquiries are ongoing, but they aren't looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Evidence markers on the pavement (ASP)

On Tuesday night an area close to shops on Wilbraham Road was cordoned off as forensics officers carried out an investigation.

A a phone box was also taped off and evidence markers could be seen on pavement.
