Man arrested as police probe sudden death of baby in Keady, Co Armagh

A man has been arrested as cops opened a probe into the sudden death of a baby.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out following the death of the tot in Keady, Co Armagh in Northern Ireland earlier today, Belfast Live reports .

A 31-year-old man was detained in Craigavon on Tuesday and was taken to Banbridge Police Station, where he is being questioned by detectives.

A PSNI spokesman said: "A post mortem is due to take place to determine the cause of death and there are no further details at this time."

Sinn Fein MLA Cathal Boylan said: "I have spoken to a family member, they are all in deep shock.

"They have asked for privacy as they try to come to terms with this unfathomable tragedy.

"We shall of course keep them in our prayers."
