Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with an attempted murder investigation in Lanarkshire,
A 22-year-old is due to appear before Airdrie Sheriff Court today, March 9.
We told yesterday how Police Scotland launched a probe following the serious incident in Glenboig on March 5.
A 62-year-old man was rushed to Monklands Hospital after emergency services were called to the scene at a property on Gainside Road at around 4.50pm.
The man was said to be in a stable condition and police confirmed they are treating the incident as attempted murder.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 22 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear before Airdrie Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 9 March, 2021.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
