A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a pensioner died in a horror crash in the Highlands.
We told how 86-year-old Matthew Donnell died following the smash involving his car and an articulated lorry.
Emergency serviced raced to the A939 Dava Moor road on October 7.
Matthew, from Grantown-on Spey, near Aviemore was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
An 81-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was seriously injured.
On Monday police revealed that a 47-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The man will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court at a later date.
Police thanks those who helped with their investigation over the past few months.
Cops involved in the probe also offered their condolences to Matthew's loved ones.
Sergeant David Miller said "I would like to thank everybody who has assisted with our investigation over the last few months.
"Our thoughts very much remain with Mr Donnell's family and friends."
